Who we are

Counselling Wollongong is a counselling practice at Central Chambers, 157 Crown Street. Three counsellors see individuals, couples and families here, and sessions are also available online.

Each of our counsellors is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Each works with Healing Inner Conflict alongside their own training, including Gestalt therapy, Process-Oriented Psychology and parts work.

How we work

Our counsellors share one framework, Healing Inner Conflict, and bring their own training to it.

Our approach
  • One moment at a time

Rather than tackling everything at once, you start with a single moment that disturbed you and work outward from there.

  • No part of you is the enemy

Conflicting parts are treated as ways you have tried to protect yourself, not as faults to fix. That takes the shame out of it.

  • Understanding, then change

The aim isn’t simply to understand how a pattern developed or to manage its symptoms. It’s to show you how to recognise what is happening and repeatedly respond differently, creating meaningful and lasting change.

Held with care

  • Professional members

Each counsellor is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Membership numbers are listed on their profiles.

  • Supervised

All our counsellors receive supervision from an experienced counselling supervisor, so your care is overseen.

  • Confidential

What you share is kept confidential, with limits: counsellors must act if someone’s safety is at risk or the law requires it, and information can be shared with your written consent. In supervision, only initials or first names are used.
